Two-Ingredient Tuesday: Garlic Sweet Potato Fries
I'm pretty sure everyone likes sweet potatoes. They are the most inviting winter vegetable (in my opinion). I do love squash, but you run a much higher risk of coming in contact with a less than flavorful squash than you do a sweet potato.
Both sweet and white potatoes are a great thing to add into any diet. They have an extremely low caloric density, meaning we can eat a ton without actually gaining weight and filling our bodies with great nutrients and fiber at the same time!
Here is one of my favorite new go-to recipes to liven up a sweet potato. They are absolutely delicious, taste even better than fried, and guy-approved!
Feel free to customize with whatever spices peak your interest. Cinnamon, dried oregano, turmeric and sumac powder all have worked great for me! A sprinkling of fresh parsley (and maybe even nutritional yeast!) is a nice touch and burst of fresh flavor.
